ENGLISH Today would have been Brian Daley's 67th birthday. Brian, along with best friend and best selling author James Luceno gave life to the Robotech Novels under the pseudonym JACK MCKINNEY. Aside from Robotech, Brian made his mark in the Star Wars franchise as well writing for the best selling series "The Han Solo Adventures" and scripting the radio dramatizations for the Original Trilogy. (Episodes IV, V and VI) Brian Daley......NEVER FORGOTTEN. Events that will change destinies.... "Reports have been coming in to us of a possible incident on the island during launch ceremonies. Coverage of the event via television, radio and internet was abruptly lost approximately 45 minutes ago. Before the loss of contact, it was reported, that the fortress had fired its main weapons out to the open ocean. Whether that was part of a demonstration or a defensive move cannot be confirmed at this time. Government officials have not been available as of yet for comment but it is known that many high level dignitaries of the UEG were to be on hand for the launch ceremonies including chairman, Senator Napoleon Russo." We have been receiving reports, unconfirmed, of a possible incident on Macross Island in the South Pacific, home of the Super Dimensional Fortress which is scheduled to launch today. I repeat, we cannot confirm these reports. We can confirm however that the fortress’s main weapons did fire but whether this incident involves any type of attack, malfunction or even a demonstration we cannot confirm as communication was lost with the island about an hour ago."
