IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR CLINT EASTWOOD...IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ROBOTECH!

LIKE US ON FACEBOOK! Another experimental video....I might do a voice over with excerpts...but we'll see. Looking for feedback as well. I am a novice to this...but am having fun doing it! The Robotech Novels are not without their detractors....one even going so far as to mail Jim Luceno one of the books...shredded to pieces. There were concepts added that were never part of the animated series, and some in the "Robo-establishment" hated it. And I love it. LOL! In the following clip...the introduction of one of the more controversial concepts. Everybody is going to have an opinion....and haters will be hatin'. For me the Novels are not perfect...but I don't see the point in ruining the experience. - John robotechnovels@gmail.com

WHEN THE HUNTER...

QUICK MESSAGE!

Hi all! Thank you for checking us out! I believe in slow, steady growth and with the Robotech Novels, there is so much rich material in them...I am good with how we have started. I have a lot going on but I want to give a specific slot of my time to this. WOW....30 years!!!...I still remember buying the first four Novels the day after they were released back in February 1987. With the blog and the Facebook page, I'm testing our approach. We're going through the first Novel, Genesis right now with excerpts. I did an earlier blog post on the backstory on Zor which the books provide a lot of information on.  We're on Facebook, so give our page a big old LIKE! You can click HERE for it! I also did a short presentation video experiment on a prior post...something I've been thinking of developing as we move forward. Tell me what you think because I plan on doing more! For now, maybe the linear approach will work and especially for people who may not be famili

One of my favorite concepts of the Robotech Novels....especially because it draws the rage of some fans.... 'NUFF SAID. - John  robotechnovels@gmail.com LIKE US ON FACEBOOK!

I HAVE A FEW IDEAS...

Experiment time! Took some Robotech series footage and mixed it in with an excerpt from the novels and made a little presentation video. Added some royalty free background music for effect. It's something I've been thinking about doing in the future. The Novel excerpt is from the moment in the Robotech saga where the alien armada known as the Zentraedi arrive in Earth space searching for Zor's fortress, now know as the SDF-1. I'm a total novice at this and took me hours just to figure things out for a minute of footage, but I know a lot more now! I'm happy with the way it turned out...for a novice! LOL! (The video is also up on our Facebook page in case you want to view it bigger!) Let me know what you think! - John robotechnovels@gmail.com Video Clip - Robotech Series, Episode 1: Boobytrap Novel Excerpt: RT #1 Genesis, Chapter 1 Music: "One one One" (Digital Juice StackTraxx Volume 50 Cinematic Scores) #robotech #robotechnovels #jac

WOW...IT REALLY HAS BEEN 30 YEARS! LOL!

What caught my eye back in '87 when I was first introduced to the Novels was not only that they were from an animated series I loved, but it was also the cover art, created by David Schleinkofer. They really stand out for their use of colors and giving some of the characters a more "fleshy" real life look. He was commissioned for the cover art for all the books Brian and Jim wrote. This included the 12 main books adapted from the show, the 5 books of the Sentinels and conclusion of the Robotech Novels saga, End of the Circle. (Jim wrote three additional books under the McKinney name as Brian was not available to participate.) This particular painting was not a Robotech Novels cover. A quote from David; "That cover was done as a sample to show the client so they could see how I was going to handle the different style of rendering from the cartoon style. They liked it so I got the job to do them all. " Source: https://www.flickr.com/photos/38157193@N05/3
