OCTOBER 23, 2014 - A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE ROBOTECH NOVEL HATERS

Hey guys and girls,

 As I work on our new Episode.....there have been certain....shall we say.....individuals that seem to get all riled up about the validity of the Robotech Novels as canon...they bash the books.....threatening to slap James Luceno......these "haters" experience some sort of Internet RAGE because the Novels don't mirror the animated series...or that no one but in an office in Los Angeles has the right to state anything about the Novels place in "canon"....

 I call it the "I TAKE A CARTOON WAY TOO SERIOUSLY!" syndrome...

 It is a subject I have stayed away from for years.....

 Until now.....

 Let's just make it simple and settle it once and for all......shall we?



 How can I dare say this?

 Simple.....because I can.

 Any concerns.....need to let loose your keyboard warrior.....internet rage......"threats".....or just the need to whine, bitch and moan about a bunch of science fiction novels...... here's my email address..... robotechnovels@gmail.com 

 Now, for the saner crowd.....Life and podcast are FINALLY balancing out....episode recording is going well.......and then it'll be time to do what I do best.......love the lovers and piss off the haters.....

When Carl gave the mission for Brian and Jim to take the Robotech story to the realm of science fiction literature, I'd like to think that there were moments where they ran into secondary characters and said..."We gotta expand on him/her! Maybe not the whole backstory, but enough to make them an essential piece to the Robotech narrative. DOES MACROSS ISLAND EXIST IN REAL LIFE?

A name that will ALWAYS be synonymous with Robotech. In the Novels it has 3 incarnations, and even afterwards, it is a focal point for Zor's Vision. Macross. As we begin the Novels saga, it is the island where Zor's ship crash lands after it is sent by the scientist himself to Earth in order to fulfill its destiny. But how much do we know about Macross Island's actual location?  Well, not much; The animated series narrates; "...Macross Island in the South Pacific." You may not know it now little island...but BIG things are in your future! In Robotech: The Graphic Novel, we get a little more. That map is at almost a 90 degree viewing angle!
